Family Therapy
For Kids ages 2-8 and their parents/caregivers
You didn’t think parenting would come with this many power struggles.
You are at your breaking point with your child’s meltdowns, aggression, and the phone calls from school saying that your kid bit another student again. It feels like anytime you tell your child to do normal daily tasks, like brush teeth or put away his toys, your words float in one ear and out the other. Or worse, your child screams, calls you a bad word, or hits you.
You want to enjoy spending time with your kid again, but it’s hard when you feel like your child’s verbal and physical punching bag. You know your child is a good kid. You know these behaviors signal that more help is needed, but you haven’t been sure where to turn.
I’m so glad you found me!
I use a play therapy modality called Theraplay to help kids and families just like you!
Theraplay is an evidenced-based, structured therapy that uses playful activities to build deeper parent-child connections, foster attunement, and help children with emotion-regulation.
In Theraplay, we start with a parent intake and family assessment so I can get a clear picture of the struggles your family is experiencing.
After that we’ll meet weekly for parent-child therapy sessions. You and your kid will be in the Therapy room together! I’ll guide the sessions using structured activities that are playful, fun, and transformative.
Theraplay helps:
Children respond more appropriately to parent’s leadership and build tolerance for following directions
Parents learn to de-code their child’s behavior and figure out what their child needs
Children work through perfectionism and fear of making mistakes
Parents build confidence and learn skills to help their child regulate through big feelings
You are a good parent.
Your kid is a good kid.
Family therapy can help you and your child connect, feel joy again, and learn healthier ways to interact.
